Australian Pathology have launched more false marketing to scare Australian into thinking that the GAP Payments they are going to introduce will be due to not receiving a government funding that has not been required for over 25 years. 

These private companies that are ASX listed and run to appease their Shareholders are trying to keep their profits at the same margins that were seen during the Covid Pandemic when they received roughly $110 per PCR test that was government mandated. Meanwhile their staff were being paid roughly $26 an hour to do this life-threatening work. 

It is only the Private Pathology Companies pushing for Government Funding to be reintroduced. It is also Private Pathology employees that are paid roughly $7.00 an hour less than their co-workers in the Public Pathology System. 

It is time that we stop giving Medicare rebates and Commonwealth funds to Private Companies who are unethical and choose to make profits with it rather than give Australian Healthcare Workers a valued wage, a safe workplace and the Pathology Industry ongoing investment so we have the best industry for the Australian People.
