My story begins with my child like numerous other students managed to score well and deserve a top college seat. Despite this accomplishment, we were shocked when we learned a seat during the third allotment round of the KCET 2024 in a top college despite an increase in seats. It pains me deeply considering the dedication and effort my child has invested in studies. To our dismay, we're not alone in our suspicions regarding the allotment process, particularly for Engineering seats.

It's come to our attention through rumors and shared experiences within our community that the third-round seat allotment seems to be blocked and even allegedly sold. This is absolutely unacceptable and potential proof of corruption within the system meant to uphold fairness and meritocracy.

Every one of those students deserves transparency and a fair shot at securing their future without having to worry if their deserved seats are subject to foul play.

A call for a comprehensive inquiry into the KCET's 2024 third round allotment of Engineering seats is therefore not just a request, but a necessity. The potential manipulation during a process that dictates the futures of thousands of aspirational students cannot be ignored.
