Demand a Comprehensive Public Inquiry into UK's Grooming Gangs

Demand a Comprehensive Public Inquiry into UK's Grooming Gangs
The Issue
For too long, countless vulnerable individuals across the UK have suffered at the hands of grooming gangs. These heinous crimes have devastated lives, torn families apart, and left entire communities reeling. Despite the pain and outrage, too many questions remain unanswered:
Why were so many victims ignored or dismissed for so long?
What systemic failures allowed this abuse to continue unchecked?
What steps are being taken to prevent such atrocities from ever happening again?
We demand transparency, accountability, and justice.
A full public inquiry is essential to uncover the truth, address institutional failings, and ensure that those responsible—both perpetrators and those who enabled them through inaction—are held to account.
By signing this petition, you are standing with survivors and sending a clear message to the government: We will not stay silent. Every victim deserves to be heard, and every community deserves to feel safe.
Together, we can shine a light on the truth and fight for a safer future.
Sign now to demand a public inquiry. Let’s ensure justice is served and lessons are learned.
A study by Quilliam, a prominent think tank, estimated that 84% of grooming gang members were of South Asian origin (Kaur, 2018). This isn't an issue of ethnicity, but a wake-up call revealing that these criminals have been masked under our very noses, and getting away with terrible crimes.
Furthermore, a report by the Home Office in December 2020 revealed there were more than 19,000 suspected child exploitation victims — most" linked to gangs" — in the UK, a 3,300 increase from the previous year (Home Office, Child exploitation, 2020).
We must join forces to hold the government accountable and ask for transparency in investigating these sexual predators, and prosecuting them to the fullest extent of the law. Let us demand that the government prioritize the safety and peace of our country and its people by instigating this public inquiry.
Sign this petition and raise your voice against grooming gangs in the UK.
