The Delta School District has plans of shutting down our cafeteria to be run by a private buisness. Many kids at Delta Secondary School are enrolled in cafeteria courses that help them to gain hands on experience in the culinary arts. A lot of these students include kids in the resource center who would not otherwise have this opportunity. Shutting down the cafeteria to be run by a private buisness would be a huge loss to the school and the community. Not only would we lose the lovely cafeteria staff, we would also be losing all cafeteria training programs. Please sign this petition to help keep the cafeteria and all the programs it offers stay as is.
