Millions of pounds of public money is being invested in Ellesmere Port town centre, including a revamped market, active travel routes and new homes.

The owners of the Port Arcades, the Adhan Group, stand to benefit from this regeneration through increased footfall, higher rental income and rising property values. But a multi-million-pound investment to revitalise the Port Arcades, promised by Adhan, has yet to materialise.

Meanwhile, many units in the shopping centre remain empty and residents say the arcade feels cold and unwelcoming.
