The student community unanimously believes that the online mode of education as an alternative to the physical mode of learning has fallen short of its envisaged impact. Not only have the classes been irregular, they have been inaccessible to a lot of students. This mode also ruled out those students who were unable to afford the same.
With UGC releasing guidelines for re-opening of Universities, DU should feel imperative to make a plan of action for the same. However, the University seems to be silent on this. I believe it is time that we chalk out a way through which the University reopens, at least in phases, keeping physical distancing and other precautionary measures in check. The students demand for re-opening of DU at the earliest.
