Ban on Crackers
Ban on Crackers
The Issue
Recently Delhi is grasping for fresh air after Diwali. Bursting of crackers along with other factors like agriculture subtle waste burning in neighbor states, vehicular pollution, waste burning, etc alleviated the problem. While other factors are also being actioned upon by different authorities, I hereby request why not ban the sale of crackers which also adds on to bad weather? People burst crackers during festivals, marriage ceremonies, sports functions etc. which could be easily avoided. Cracker burning adds on to problems like Noise pollution, air pollution, global warming, breathing problems to elders and infants, garbage, burning hard earned money, traffic jams, accidents, etc. While various awareness programs are being run in schools etc to educate children not to burn crackers, the ban on sale of crackers would help a lot to curb this issue. Please help sign this petition to save our Mother Earth and India for future generation.
