Delete/Don't add the unrealistic changes In S9 and S10 in Arena Breakout
El problema
Since its release, Arena Breakout has been promoted as a game focused on hardcore realism — this was the vision that attracted a large number of players.
Currently, that focus has been somewhat toned down, but Seasons 9 and 10 (9 in the global beta and 10 in the CN beta) introduce changes that completely destroy the original vision of the game and overshadow all other updates, disappointing many players who enjoy the game for its realism and difficulty. Moreover, these changes create uncertainty about the future of the game. These changes include, but are not limited to:
- Dolphin dive mechanic
- Slide mechanic
- Being able to walk while performing surgery
- Grenades becoming increasingly harmless
- Medkits healing BROKEN limbs.
- Announcement when a player finds a red item
- Life detector
- Guaranteed to be knocked down instead of dying with T5/6 armors.
- Being able to walk with a broken leg at a similar speed as with a non broken leg.
- Grenades not doing damage to allies. (Updated, explained as only dealing damage when enemies are nearby)
These changes do not expand the game's audience — they replace it with a different one. These aren't just changes, this represents a step in the wrong direction.
We respectfully ask the developers to reconsider the direction the game is taking. Arena Breakout stood out precisely because it was different — it offered a brutal, immersive, and tactical experience that rewarded patience, planning, skill and knowledge. By shifting away from these core values, the game risks losing the very identity that made it unique.
Many longtime players — the ones who supported the game from the beginning — feel alienated by these updates. It’s not just about features; it’s about trust. A game built on a promise of realism cannot afford to ignore the feedback of its core community.
There are many arcade-style shooters on the market. What made Arena Breakout special was its commitment to realism. Changing the core gameplay mechanics to be more casual or action-focused turns it into just another generic shooter, instead of the tactical survival experience it was meant to be.
And in my opinion, add it in another mode or launch another game, but don't do this to the base game.
