We Call for the Immediate Payment of Outstanding July Stipends

We, the undersigned learners participating in the NQF Level 5 Project Manager Learnership at Cosmopolitan College, are calling for urgent action regarding the delayed payment of our July stipends.

Learners have committed their time and effort to the learnership, including attending training and fulfilling workplace and programme requirements. Many learners rely on their monthly stipends to cover essential costs such as transport, food, accommodation, data, and other expenses associated with participating in the programme.

The delay in receiving the July stipend has placed affected learners under financial pressure and uncertainty.

What We Are Asking For:

We respectfully call on Cosmopolitan College and the relevant parties responsible for processing the learnership stipends to:

1. Immediately process and pay all outstanding July stipends to eligible learners.

2. Explain the reason for the delay in payment.

3. Provide regular and transparent communication regarding the status of the outstanding payments.

4. Ensure that future stipend payments are made according to a clear and reliable payment schedule.

5. Ensure that all eligible learners are treated fairly and consistently.

Why This Matters:

For many learners, the stipend is not simply additional income. It helps us meet the basic costs of participating in the learnership.

Delayed payments can affect our ability to:

- Travel to training and workplace placements.

- Purchase food and other necessities.

- Pay for transport and accommodation.

- Purchase mobile data and communicate with programme coordinators.

- Continue participating in the learnership without financial hardship.

We understand that administrative or payment-processing challenges may sometimes occur. However, learners deserve timely communication and clarity about payments that are due to them.

Our Request:

We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for fairness, transparency, accountability, and timely payment.
