I am starting this petition because like many of my neighbors, I'm tired of the division within our state politicians. When a majority of the citizens in the state want something to happen, our partisan representatives refuse to work together to make it happen. We have to have a way to get what we the people want from our government. 

By introducing and enacting legislation to allow for public referendums, this would allow a way for the people of the state to decide what they think is best for their own lives and not a politician who knows nothing about them or  their lives. 

I've had a representative tell me that if I could get a large number of signatures that they would help with writing the legislation and sponsor it.
