In a ten month stand off between the Del Norte Teachers Association's negotiating team, and the DNCUSD School Board and Administrators, it has come down to the teachers potentially striking. 

Despite a COLA being given to the district to pass on to the teachers, they are refusing to work with the teachers further and are offering them a 2% increase instead of the 3.74% the district received. 

The fact finding showed that the district is short just under $12,000 for the year to pay the teachers the full COLA. And are refusing to tap into the reserves, which are 4 times the amount legally required.

Teachers and staff are the ones who work with our children, educate them, and help form them into the type of people we need in this world. Let us retain the teachers we have. 

Show the district you support the teachers by not crossing a picket line. If the teachers strike, keep your children home.

No kids in school means no dollars for those students, means making our point loud and clear to the district. Actions speak, but actions and money can often speak louder.
