Hello Everyone! We now have a no passing zone for much of the area that we asked for in this petition. I've given it a couple of weeks before posting to see how drivers would respond and, for the most part, folks are obeying the new signage and striping/zone changes. Please continue to be vigilant in traveling this stretch as there will still be some who won't follow the law. We hope we these changes will enable the Sheriff's Dept. to more safely enforce this area. Thanks to everyone for caring and helping to bring about these changes, hopefully they will lead to fewer near misses and accidents out on Plank Rd. in Sycamore. This just goes to show that change can happen through standing up and being persistent!
