Thank you so much for sharing the petition link.  It is an important part of our next round of communications at this month's county meetings.  We are nearly at 2000 online signatures!!! I think that number speaks volumes about how strong the public support is for these changes. 

        Hopefully the County Board will take our efforts and comments to heart and do the right thing by approving these safety measures.  It is important to get both the lower speed limit and the extended no passing zone passed together.  This past summer, the speed limit was lowered to 45mph due to the construction and people would pass dangerously even in a construction zone where it is illegal to pass. 

        There is a DeKalb County Highway Committee meeting this Thursday, February 6th at 6pm.  You are welcome to come and make a public statement. We will continue to present evidence in support of our requests and push for change on Plank Road to save lives.  Thanks again for continuing to talk with folks about supporting the petition.
