The RSPCA encourage dairy producers to adopt their 'Welfare Standards for Dairy Cattle', which set out how they believe dairy cows should be managed and cared for in order to ensure their welfare needs are met.

The aim is for the cows to have a better quality of life BUT the TRUTH is that these guidelines are NOT BEING MET AND IF IN ANY CASE THEY ARE, THESE COWS ARE ONLY LIVING FOR A GIVEN TIME!

Recently a slaughterhouse truck driver was fined £2,100 for repeatedly kicking and abusing a downed cow in an ordeal which lasted 40 minutes. All animals have feelings and they know when they are being taken to the slaughter house to be killed. A lot of these cows collapse due to the trauma, they live a life full of misery and abuse and it is high time this stopped!

It’s not uncommon for animals to be on the brink of death by the time they arrive at the slaughterhouse and many are unable to even support their own body weight. The cow was put down before entering the slaughterhouse.

1. THE FINES NEED TO BE INCREASED AND MORE NEED TO BE ISSUED.
2. THE BBC NEED TO PUT A DOCUMENTARY TOGETHER SHOWING THE REAL LIFE OF COWS.
3. FARMS THAT ARE KILLING AND ABUSING COWS NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.
4. SUPERMARKETS NEED TO STEP UP BY BOYCOTTING FARMS THAT ABUSE COWS FOR DAIRY.

The female cows throughout their lives suffer artificial insemination, just typing this gives me goose bumps as I can only imagine how painful this must be for them, they are violated - REPEATEDLEY only so that supermarkets can have milk in their fridges!

When the mother gives birth, the baby is stolen from the mother and eventually these babies die as they are unable to drink the mothers milk.

'PETA conducted an eyewitness investigation at Adirondack Farms, LLC, a factory dairy farm that takes 20,930 gallons of milk—intended for calves—from approximately 1,800 cows every day. PETA’s investigator documented that a manager there jabbed a fully conscious and immobile cow, whom he called a “dumb bitch,” in the ribs with a screwdriver and used a skid loader to drag her approximately 25 feet.'

MY PETITION IS NOT TO PERSUADE ANYONE IN TO GOING VEGAN BUT TO STOP FARMERS KILLING AND ABUSING COWS. THE ABUSE WILL GET WORSE AS WE APPROACH WINTER. 

FARM ANIMALS SHOULD DIE NATURALLY AND IF FARMERS CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP THEM THEN THEY SHOULD SHUT THE FARM DOWN AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER OCCUPATION.  FARMERS SHOULD NOT BE MAKING PROFITS AT THE COST OF THESE POOR ANIMALS.
