Mise à jour sur la pétitionDefend Our Opera House: Support Louise HerronWe took your petition to parliament!

This morning a big group of you came to NSW parliament to help me deliver our petition – thank you!

I was able to address cameras and journalists from every TV station about why this campaign matters, and then Jenny Leong MP, the Member for Newtown, very kindly accepted the petition on behalf of the parliament and hand delivered it to the Premier’s office.

It’s clear our public pressure is working: yesterday, Premier Gladys Berejiklian told the media they’d “toned down” the original Everest projection. This morning, Alan Jones apologised to Opera House CEO for harassing her on air and threatening to get her sacked.

And now – our campaign is headline news not just all over Australia, but all over the world.

My hope is that before the day is out, Gladys Berejiklian will accept our petition from 250,000+ people as readily as she'll take a phone call from a radio shock jock. She can remind NSW, and everyone that signed this, that democracy works, everyone has a voice and it is listened to.

There’s still time to make all of our voices ring out across the country – can you please share this petition one more time to see if we can tip the scales of justice before the projection tonight?

Thank you for all your support,

Mike
