Praful Nargund, the Labour Party Parliamentary candidate for our constituency , Islington North, has refused to attend any of the three hustings events held in the constituency and has refused to speak to BBC London News and Islington Tribune.

Islington North constituents deserve to know their candidates and what they stand for. This is all the more significant because Nargund has been imposed on the Islington Labour Party by Keir Starmer, who expelled our MP, for 41 years, Jeremy Corbyn.

Corbyn has worked tirelessly for the Whittington Hospital, which he also helped to save on two occasions. He has also been a strong advocate for better mental health services.

Nargund claims on his election material that he will "fight for our Whittington Hospital".  We would like to hear what he has done for the hospital to date and how he will fight for it in future. And how will he "save the NHS" when he is a private practitioner, owning a significant private health enterprise.

We demand another health hustings is held and that he attends such a meeting.
