We, the residents of Deerfield Resort, respect the decision of Honorable Judge Beth Boniface and her ruling to form a Homeowners Association.  However, we do not agree with the plaintiffs, their agenda or their intentions for our community. 

We would like to work together to achieve the following:

1. Establish an Interim Board and Steering Committee with representation from our entire community based upon the courts guidance. 
2. Create a Homeowners Association with representatives nominated and voted upon by residents in a public election with majority rule
3. Immediately improve communication regarding community management - including an operational budget, financial transparency and maintenance priorities

We would like to achieve the above without:

1. Further legal action
2. Increased and unnecessary costs to Deerfield Resort owners
3. Unnecessary burden on the Lafollette community or Campbell County through use of their utilities and resources (e.g., water, sewer or road maintenance)

We believe we can work together to end litigation, resolve peacefully, and move forward in the best interests of the Deerfield Resort community.
