First of all, the original Saints Row was only released on the Xbox 360, which really limited the target demographic and how many people could actually play the game. Saints Row 2, on the other hand, wasn't a very good PC port.

Second, a lot more people played Saints Row The Third and IV than people who have played Saints Row 1 and 2, which means a lot of players are disconnected and might be a bit alienated by what is going on, and seeing how the new generation consoles are out, it's even more difficult to enjoy those games.

Finally, my personal reasons for wanting this. I, as a PC gamer, want to replay Saints Row 1 and see Saints Row 2 turned into a good port. I know that Volition actually cares about the PC community (as seen with their mod support, optimization and advanced graphical features in Saints Row IV, as well as generally more support for the community) and I know that Volition is one of the few developers that actually cares about their fans and talk with them. The first two instalments, I have to say, are my favorites in the series (though Saints Row IV is pretty good too), and the graphics, as well as some of the game mechanics (specifically the lack of mission checkpoints in Saints Row 1, as well as the lack of option to play as a female in the first game). So please, Volition. If any single employee reads this, thank you, you rock, don't ever change, and I mean that.
