Decriminalize Marijuana in Tarrant County

Decriminalize Marijuana in Tarrant County
The Issue
Marijuana prohibition is a costly and failed policy that uses up police resources that would be better used solving and preventing violent crime. So far 17 states and many cities have decriminalized marijuana - but Tarrant County isn’t one of them!
Polls show that a majority of Americans agree that it's time to change marijuana laws: CNN found 84% support not sending people to jail for small amounts of marijuana and a Gallup poll found 58% support for legalizing marijuana altogether.
Decriminalizing marijuana would result in saved tax dollars, more police resources, and no criminal records for young people that can make it difficult for them to get a job or apply for financial aid for college. It's a common sense approach.
Please help decriminalize marijuana in Tarrant County by signing this petition!
