Decommission All Gas and Gas-Included Hybrid Cars by 2030 for a Greener Future

The Issue

I, like many others, am deeply passionate about the environment. For the sake of a greener, brighter future for America, I am calling for all gas cars, including hybrids that have a gas component, to be decommissioned by the year 2030. Our dependency on fossil fuels has led to widespread environmental damage, contributing significantly to the global carbon emissions. A study represented by the U.S. Department of Energy suggests that transportation is responsible for nearly 30% of all U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, with light-duty vehicles constituting the majority. By phasing out gas cars by 2030, we begin a crucial step towards reducing our carbon footprint and combating climate change. We can transition to electric vehicles, which have seen significant advancements making them more accessible and efficient. This is not an easy task nor a small request, but it is a critical call to secure not only our future but the future of generations to come.

Obviously, there would be some struggle with the sudden change for people who are heavily reliant on these sorts of vehicles. Because of this, the government will supposedly give 50% off to all new greener cars, make new benefits for these cars, and give businesses with gas car/truck fleets 10 to perhaps 25% of their fleet recovered with cleaner cars and trucks. Who knows, maybe we should even make the government give out free EVs and make widespread charging stations to compensate for gas-powered cars.
