I am a resident of Hermitage, TN, and a founding member of the community centered group “Save Hermitage and Old Hickory”.  Our community has been suffering as a result of the vagrants, prostitutes, drug dealers, criminals, etc. that frequent the Hermitage Inn.  The activities at this establishment are causing harm to our area's reputation and quality of life. 

The inn has become more than just an eyesore; it is now a public nuisance affecting everyone in its vicinity. It's not just about aesthetics or property values anymore - it's about safety.

According to local police reports (source: Metro Nashville Police Department), there has been, on average 50 calls per month to the vicinity of the Hermitage Inn. This rise in crime is directly linked to activities associated with the inn.

Furthermore, local businesses in that area are suffering due to concerns about safety.  This decline is threatening their survival and by extension, our local economy.

We call upon our city officials to declare the Hermitage Inn as a public nuisance under Tennessee Code Annotated 29-3-101 (source: Tennessee State Law). By doing so, they can order its closure until necessary changes are made by its proprietors.

Our neighborhood deserves better than this. We deserve peace and security in our homes and businesses without fear from disruptive elements that establishments like these bring into our lives.
