First I want to applaud brilliant work by Ithaca and NYS police, the ATF, and Wal-Mart employee(s) sharp enough to know something was amiss. A troubled kid, an AR-15 copy, a silencer, explosives. What could go wrong? Nothing, if you're an NRA supporter. I thank the metaphorical god I live in a community that cares about people more than guns. Thanks to community, what could've been another school shooting was stopped in time. I also applaud the excellent journalism practiced by this Cornell student. Yes there are problems with our gun laws, and this kid never should've had this material. But I'm not going to pretend I'm not hugely relieved that Ithaca didn't become the latest statistic in our national tragedy regarding guns. "It can happen anywhere." Maybe this should be our national motto, not e pluribus unum. Mass murder and fascism are both being fostered by the NRA and its minions. Just watch the NRA attack this prosecution, especially if the story gets national attention. It must be stopped. Please help by taking the free and easy steps of signing and sharing this petition, finding others like it, and repeating until the NRA is destroyed.
