Mattie’s Foundation is updating the peace day campaign — in effort, and in name. 1 – Due to the increasing unrest and divisions in our country that have grown during and since the 2016 presidential campaign and elections, we have re-opened our peace day campaign – PEACE UNIFIES! “From one child’s legacy… a gift of healing for our country.” 2 – Due to feedback from White House representatives that declaring a “day” in a particular person’s honor is rare and unlikely, we are changing the name of this campaign to “National Peace Day” - still to be celebrated on July 17 (Mattie’s birthday). Peace is for ALL people... all races and religions, and all political affiliations. Let's let peace unify us, by choice.
