As a devout fan and player of tabletop role-playing games, I, like many others, have grown to cherish the twenty-sided dice, or d20. This icosahedral-shaped game tool serves as a cornerstone in our favorite pastimes, creating memorable experiences that define our gaming adventures. It's an emblem of camaraderie, chance, and shared tales spun around countless tables, bridging the gap between fantasy and reality. It symbolizes the richness and diversity of the gaming community. Therefore, we propose that December 20 be declared as National d20 Day, a designated day to celebrate our shared passion and the iconic instrument of our enjoyment.

This petition serves a two-fold purpose: to recognize the prominent place of the d20 in tabletop RPG culture, and to encourage new enthusiasts to explore this world of imagination and creativity. According to a study conducted by Syracuse University, RPGs significantly enhance problem-solving skills, boost empathy, and foster social relations (Syracuse University, 2016).
