On March 17, 2021 disturbing pictures began making their rounds on the internet depicting images of a dog and the poor conditions in which animals have been living. It is reported that the neglect is so bad that the dogs collar is embedded into its neck. In addition there is also a dead dogs carcass still chained laying in the yard. Decatur Animal Services have stated they are investigating and that the dogs have received vet attention. The animals are back in the peoples custody with animal services doing 3 day check ups. The police department states that the case issuing investigated. These dogs are defeated and suffering and need to be removed from their current situation. No child would be allowed to stay with their parent while the parent was under abuse investigation. These animals should be taken as well. We are petitioning the city of Decatur and its agencies to act on this case and to remove the animals from the current owners pending the investigation.
