- SUNY Health Service Office have limited hours of operation. If a woman experiences an emergency, nurse call-centers and campus police often have response delays. Many SUNY school areas lack urgent care clinics.

- The Mayo Clinic recommends ultrasound dating prior to prescribing abortion medication.  Many SUNY Health Services are not equipped to perform these ultrasounds; they must rely on less-exact patient estimations. Medical abortion is not recommended after seven weeks.

- According to the Mayo Clinic, medical abortion medications pose risks: incomplete abortion requiring a follow-up, heavy & prolonged bleeding, infection, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.
