This dog has been found in a place called Henry’s Island near Bakkhali at the West Bengal Government Fishery Dept’s Lodge named Sundari Tourist Lodge. This ill-fated dog was caught in a deer trap set up by the poachers. Though it managed to escape the trap but a nylon rope got fastened around its neck and cut deep into it. Now it’s impossible to cut the cord without performing surgical operation. To add to its misery there is no veterinary hospital or clinic nearby. It would be of great help if the concerned NGOs take immediate action by sending help to rescue this dog. Unless, it may die from infection. Or from suffocation. It is a humble request to all the dog lovers and sympathizers out there to sign this petition to create awareness for this cause.
