Deathmatch in Doom: The Dark Ages

Deathmatch in Doom: The Dark Ages
The Issue
I have always found gaming, particularly Doom, deeply personal. Much of the resonance for many of us associates with the fact that Doom was the game that introduced and shaped the Deathmatch mode.
In high school, we would play 2 player deathmatch and co-op on the Science class Pentium PCs. On PS1, my friend and I would play Deathmatch using the link cable and swapping one Doom disc between the consoles and murder each other online for days!
It is with regret, however, that Doom’s last contribution to gaming, Doom Eternal, incorporated an odd multiplayer mode which was dull and lacked the vicious and frenetic Deathmatch mode.
The absence of Deathmatch in Doom, to me, is simply blasphemous.
The impact of multiplayer gaming cannot be underestimated. According to the Entertainment Software Association, over 66% of Americans, about 211.2 million people, play video games with a large part involving in interactive, online matches. The excitement, competitiveness, and camaraderie that come from multiplayer experiences, especially a classic feature like Deathmatch, are enormously influential in the gaming community.
Yet, in Doom Eternal, ID opted for a different approach that unfortunately fell short of the mark. Many fans feel nostalgic and crave for the return of the classic, bare-knuckles style of Deathmatch mode. By incorporating a classic Deathmatch into Doom: The Dark Ages multiplayer mode, ID has the chance to rekindle that nostalgia, ultimately benefiting both the players, by rekindling loved experiences, and the game’s development team, enhancing popularity and sales.
Look at the success of Space Marine 2, a simple no nonsense multi player mode that is popular.
ID, keep it DEAD SIMPLE, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch.. include some classic maps , hint in this sentence as to my favourite!!
Together, we urge ID, the creators of Doom, to consider this request earnestly. Let's return to what made Doom a trailblazer, and bring back the thrill, the strategy, the retro-chic charm of a no-holds-barred Deathmatch.
