The Issue

It takes the United States of America to ban together and make a change. It takes roughly 15-20years for a death sentence to take place in the United States of America. It takes 1 second per shot to realize what you have done. These heinous crimes need to be taken care of in 5 years or less. We the people of the United States of America need to ban together and get the justice that is deserved. If they have the evidence needed to keep them in jail, then they have enough evidence to bring the families justice. There’s no reason as to why it takes so long to get the death sentence for these crimes that have been committed. The criminals knew what they were doing at the time the crime was being committed. These crimes are becoming more and more known and scary for the next generations to grow up in. If these crimes keep taking place this will keep happening. Our kids future depends upon us to make the change, let our voices be heard!

This is our story:

A Cadet man is facing several charges after a fire investigation turned into a homicide investigation in Washington County. Andrew Lige Richards, 50, of Cadet, was charged Monday with two counts of first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree arson, four counts of armed criminal action, possession of meth, and resisting a lawful stop. Authorities on Dec. 7 found two people — 53-year-old Tammy Feverston and her 11-year-old grandson, Trevor Cook — dead inside a burned-down home in Cadet. Feverston and Cook had also been shot, authorities say, and Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen confirmed Sunday the incident was being investigated as a homicide. According to the probable cause statement, Richards on Dec. 7 broke into the home, and shot Cook twice and Feverston four times. Richards then stole two cell phones and a handgun before burning the home and fleeing, according to the report. (Www.dailydispatch.com

We are now into 2024, seeking the death penalty and have not even had trial. It’s a continuous-every court hearing we have. Let’s make a change, this cannot keep happening.

*This excludes accidental death by vehicle (unless premeditated).
