DeVos Confirmation Hearing Delayed One Week!
Jan 11, 2017 — Dear friends,
Thank you for standing with survivors, sharing your powerful stories, and for asking Betsy DeVos and the Senate to do the same. I’ve read through so many of your comments and found myself angered by similarity between our experiences, moved by the outpouring of support, and encouraged by the power of this growing group of supporters.
In an incredible turn of events and certainly due to pressure you all have helped build, the DeVos nomination hearing has been postponed to next Tuesday, January 17th. We need your help now, more than ever, to build momentum and push her to commit to supporting survivors.
By signing and sharing our petition, you’re not just clicking a button—you’re demonstrating to the highest branches of government that regardless of who is in office, we will not return to the days when schools swept rape under the rug. We will not allow victims to be pushed out of school.
Know Your IX and End Rape on Campus have set a new goal of collecting 2,500 petition signatures to deliver to Betsy DeVos at her Senate hearing next week. We need your help to ensure that we don’t go in empty handed.
Will you take a minute and share our petition to help get the word out? If each of us just get 7 people to sign, we could deliver 5,000 signatures (that’s twice our goal).

Help us send this urgent message: We are here. We care. We are holding you accountable.
Help us build a reality where the cost of school is no longer sexual violence.
In solidarity.
