Dear Nickelodeon, Mike & Bryan, make Avatar: The Legend of Aang animated movie!

The Issue

Greetings Avatar fandom!

What is the best way to continue and expand the Avatar universe? The best answer is "Animated movies"! From the original creators with absolute creative control.

It is known that the ATLA cocreators pitched the idea of an Avatar: The last Airbender animated follow-up movie based on the stories that later turned into the comics(The Promise, The Search, The Rift) but Nickelodeon declined it at that time. Instead choosing to do season 2 of LoK, which is the only season disliked by many fans. Now that the cocreators have left the Netflix Live-action adaptation, it seems fitting that they work on a follow-up animated movie as a new addition to the Avatar Universe. It will be very hard to understand why Nickelodeon would give more precedence to SpongeBob and other potential animated movies over this, which are just shallow popcorn flicks. Therefore we humbly demand an ATLA Animated Movie Universe like the DC Animated Movie Universe with back to back movies set in the times between ATLA and Legend of Korra, featuring the Adult Team Avatar embarking on different action-packed adventures full of emotional depth and spiritual realizations, while having fun and further character development that matches the standards of the original series, also having the same animation and character design styles.hsAvatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko building and ruling Republic City together with the help of Toph and Sokka would be a dream come true for most of the fans. Also there must be prime importance given to the past Avatars who are the backbone of the Avatar Universe and also the most amazing aspect that makes it unique from others. They should be highlighted, apparently through flashbacks and side stories, especially Avatar Kyoshi, Yangchen, Szeto, Roku, Kuruk and Salai. The core Avatar fans resent the breakage of the Avatar cycle in LoK Book 2 and see it as a completely unessential and unnecessary act. The writers should be open to other more fascinating developments in the Avatar Universe like a redemption arc for Azula. But seriously no sequel Avatar series, meaning no series for the Avatars after Korra ever, an Avatar in the modern world would be nothing but an antique that is seen as outdated and a superhero that we have thousands around here. We want to dwell into the element bending spiritual past, not the technological materialistic corny future.

Anyways, we would like the ATLA creators to know that we have no hopes for the Netflix adaptation, another abomination with impurities is on the way; with nudity, enforced petty modern agendas, stupid casting and silly portrayal of our most beloved fantasy world. Due to the disheartening experience given to us by that horriblely disgusting live-action "The Last Airbender" movie and potential future heartless adaptations full of iniquities, it seems fitting and right to realize that our beloved ATLA characters are just meant to be and portrayed like in the TV series and prolonged from there. Any attempts to bring them to live-action will ultimately end up being awful and deviant one way or the other due to irrelevant people who have no respect for the creators' creative integrity, and who will keep violating it for some petty sideline movement or cause. The show is too perfect to be mimicked in Live-action and regular actors just can't pull it off like the animated characters, it will always seem shorthanded and won't give off the right vibes. Therefore we must realize that we love these characters for what they are, how they sound and look exactly like in the TV series and to evolve from there. We are grateful for the moral and emotional depth they gave us as children and it truely is the greatest show ever made. That's exactly why it needs to be continued on as to inspire more generations of people and expand further in the form of animated movies, in standard animation as a start. Even as its secondary characters like Avatar Kyoshi has a strong and passionate fanbase, proven by the immense success of the Kyoshi Novels. This fiction universe has so much potential and capability to develop into something as great and popular as Star Wars and it can become a greater and wider source of entertainment and inspiration. It shouldn't be ended just because typical TV shows do after the series finale and due to corporate shenanigans. We want it back in all its glory and awesomeness, and to be continued forward in the form of an Animated Movie Universe.

Eh what's that? Petitions don't work? Well I would humbly suggest to screw that notion and be based on perseverance, Uncle Iroh would say that undoubtedly.

So starting here, LETS MAKE THEM LISTEN my fellow hotmen & hotwomen!
