Many students at New Jersey Institute of Technology would love to have the choice of pass/fail for their classes for the Fall 2021 Semester. Everyone returned to this semester after about two years with the intention of continuing their education in-person but wanted to be social as well. For two years our NJIT students lived in isolation until vaccinations for COVID-19 were implemented within our society and therefore when students were allowed back on campus to some form of normalcy where they can mingle and spend time with their peers once again, the Fall 2021 semester was the best to readjust to the way it was before. More students took the time to be social and readapt to the feeling of being social and so the focus was not distributed to their education entirely but to their social lives as well. Due to the transition from remote learning to in-person learning many students struggled to adapt to the semester. 

Having this pass/fail option for this semester would help students have a chance to reevaluate things with their classes going into the Spring 2022 semester.
