I just learned that a valued interpreter, Heather has been facing so much destruction to her name by democrats, interpreters, and collegues. Why? Because she's been seen interpreting Trump rallies. 

As an interpreter, we remain NEUTRAL, and Heather has not violated any laws, or tenets in the Interpreter Code of Conduct. We are not limited to interpreting parties that share our beliefs; as interpreters, we are called to remain neutral and match the tone and affect of the speaker in every interpretation.

It is wrong to harass and defame Heather for interpreting a White House briefing, because in the past she has interpreted for the then-president. 

Interpreting is a profession.
Let us remain PROFESSIONALS.
Let us not accuse someone of "conflict of interest."

-Interpreting for your family is according to the interpreting laws, a conflict of interest.

-Interpreting for both democratic and republican parties, is not.

-Interpreting for individuals that are angry, and then a group that promotes peace, is not.

-interpreting videos REQUESTED BY THE DEAF COMMUNITY, and then using those very videos against her to tarnish her career and name and community, is wrong.

She was doing her JOB. Let us show our support and thanks to her for serving the deaf community with UNBIASED ACCESS.
