This petition seeks to gauge the level of unhappiness of the Hermanus community, visitors and concerned citizens worldwide as to the controversies and alleged illegal actions in the awarding of tenders and leases for the de Mond Caravan Park and Fisherhaven Yacht Club. A WhatsApp group (De Mond and Yacht club tenders) will continue to provide a platform to inform and update on actions being contemplated and taken as well as the factual history of this contentious saga.

We especially wish to be able to view the proposed physical development plan for the site which we understand was required as a component of the MFMA Tender.  How could the Tender be awarded without one? This component is a fundamental measure to assess the quality of the proposed resort’s design and response to environmental sensitivities.
