Keep the "Men in Blue" Working!
Why this petition matters

THE MEN IN BLUE NEED YOUR HELP!
For thirty years, The Doe Fund's "men in blue" have kept our city clean and safe while rebuilding their lives after homelessness and incarceration. But today, Mayor De Blasio and The Department of Homeless Services's Commissioner Gilbert Taylor are threatening to take all of that away.
The City is attempting to force The Doe Fund to eject hardworking men in the Ready, Willing, & Able work program and warehouse registered sex offenders in their place-- all because the city doesn't know how to handle the current crisis.
Ready, Willing & Able is the only paid work program for the homeless in New York City. It's a program that helps men rebuild their lives by cleaning our communities: from the Upper East Side to Downtown Brooklyn. The Doe Fund will never put sex offenders in its blue uniforms and out into our neighborhoods. And yet, The Doe Fund depends on the revenue it earns cleaning the streets to support its programs. Without street cleaning, The Doe Fund, Ready, Willing & Able, and all of the hard work of the "men in blue" is at risk!
Tell the Mayor and Commissioner Taylor: Let the "men in blue" work! Ready, Willing & Able is no place for sex offenders!
