This is a petition to retain ICS22: Contemporary Asian American Communities at De Anza College.

The hybrid class offers flexibility for a large portion of the De Anza Students whom also have to deal with a work schedule, whilst still maintaining an immersive classroom environment and a professor who has first hand experience in the field. 

As a student in this class, I was introduced to an encompassing range of topics that allowed me to think critically about my own identity as an Asian American and participate in different community events. 

De Anza College has 24,000 students, many of whom are Asian American. With only three different Asian American studies courses offered in Spring quarter, I believe it is crucial that "ICS 22 Asian American Experiences" remains available to students.
