According to Giant Freakin Robot’s insider sources, Amber Heard is eyeballing role in a Harry Potter project. According to those sources, Heard has wanted to become involved with the Harry Potter franchise for some time, but wouldn’t broach the idea as long as ex-husband Johnny Depp was involved. Now that he’s been booted, she has the freedom to angle for a role.

They didn’t say what role Heard might be after, or even what part of the franchise she’s interested in. It could be a future film, or a highly anticipated Harry Potter series rumored to be coming our way via HBO. Who knows?

A series would give her potential longevity instead of a single movie appearance, and it would maintain some distance from the elements of the franchise that Johnny Depp was associated with.

The question is whether or not Warmer Bros wants to continue working with Heard, as her relationship with the upcoming Aquaman sequel is dubious at best. According to Poptopik, she allegedly hasn’t even been called for AM2, and it’s supposed to start filming in just over a month. That just doesn’t bode well.

Just because she’s eyeballing the Harry Potter franchise, that doesn’t mean they’re eyeballing her back.
