The Department of Agriculture in Queensland, Australia is investigating Amber Heard for possible perjury over the Pistol & Boo star-paws palaver. Hound lovers may recall that during the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s libel case against The Sun newspaper, Depp’s former employee told the court he was forced to lie under oath about the dogs’ illegal entry into Queensland. Heard’s former assistant also claimed the actor “deliberately smuggled the dogs into Australia.”

The 34-year-old Heard avoided conviction in April 2016 after she pleaded guilty to giving Customs a false document. But she and Depp were forced to film a hostage video, sorry, biosecurity apology.

The department is investigating if any criminal offences under commonwealth legislation have been committed relating to the testimony provided to the High Court in London. As the matter is the subject of a current investigation the department is unable to provide any further comment at this time.

The maximum penalty for perjury in Queensland? Fourteen years in jail. “Is the defense for perjury that you have got to be able to act?” Joyce zinged. “What is the point of having laws if they are not pursued?”

That’s right, folks. Heard could face up to 14 years in jail for one count of perjury alone.

That doesn’t even begin to touch the time she could serve if Johnny filed a complaint about his finger and had her thrown in jail for assault resulting in grievous bodily injury. If he did that, we wouldn’t have to be bothered with Miss Thang for quite a while.

I don’t know why Johnny hasn’t filed a complaint yet for that finger incident, but I wish he would, and make her face justice for it, once and for all.

What do you think? Should Johnny put Heard in jail for cutting off his finger? Or should he let sleeping dogs lie?
