Dear Supporters,

Because you spoke up, we finally have movement! While DDOT maintained the "Parking-ROW" classification, your advocacy helped us negotiate and persuade them to drop the concrete requirement that would have cost us $45,000. 

DDOT agreed: we can now use more affordable pavers, as long as the space is ADA accessible. This is the breakthrough we needed!

What’s Next?
We have reapplied for our permit and plan to open the Merry Pin Sidewalk Cafe in late April or May. We have a contractor and the price for excavation, construction, and pavers is approximately $30k.
