Probably, in the American entertainment business, more know the fictional character Carmine Falcone, a mafia villain, introduced in the four-part story Batman: Year One, written in 1987.

I do not want to speculate on the original choice for such a family name in the comics in 1987, in the years when magistrate Giovanni Falcone was already and widely fighting with the weapons of the justice the Italian mafia.

I just ask now DC Comics, for the sake of respect towards Giovanni Falcone, his family and the victims of all the mafias, not to use any longer the name Falcone in relation to a mafia character in any movie to come. As far as I know, such fictional character has a nickname that can be used instead.

The World must know only about one Falcone, who stood against the mafia.
