Eddie Berganza, current Group Editor at DC Comics, is a known sexual harasser who has committed several acts of harassment against female professionals in the comic book industry. DC has quietly acknowledged the behavior before, demoting Berganza from Executive Editor to his current position, but that isn't good enough. If DC claims to value the work and safety of their female staff, as well as other women in the industry, then they need to set an example by relieving Mr. Berganza of his position at the company. Sexual harassment and the treatment of women in the comic book industry is not a new issue, and the firing of Mr. Berganza will send a powerful message that women are valued members of the comic book community as both creators and consumers, and that this type of behavior will no longer be tolerated or rewarded.
