Legendary comic book author JM DeMatteis of Justice League International, Spider-Man Justice League Detroit, Justice League Dark and Spectre fame has recently expressed disappointment that his terrific comic book runs of Spectacular Spider-Man, The Spectre, Dr. Fate (the 4-Issue Miniseries), Dr. Fate (The Ongojng series) and Man-Thing have never been collected in Trade Paperbacks or Hardcover Collections.

As a massive fan of JM DeMatteis’s work on these titles I have also expressed my confusion with Marvel and DC’s decision to not collect these great runs that majorly impacted classic comic characters like Peter Parker, Kent Nelson, Nabu and Hal Jordan, especially since they’re written by such a well respected writer like Mr. DeMatteis.

For those who may be unfamiliar with JM DeMatteis’s work: he wrote one of the highest selling Justice League series ever alongside his collaborator Keith Giffen and is responsible for the most beloved versions of characters like Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Doctor Fate and more. He also was the writer for many of DC’s spectacular New-52 Magic series including Justice League Dark, Trinity of Sin: The Phantom Stranger and more.

I believe that since we’ve seen DC recently release the aforementioned Keith Giffen’s previously uncollected Suicide Squad run (alongside the recent recollection of Steve Niles’ Simon Dark series) it only makes sense that DC (and Marvel) look at JM’s spectacular track record on Spectre, Dr. Fate and more and FINALLY give the fans the collections that they’ve been asking for for years now

If you are a fan of JM DeMatteis and his work I beg you, please share this with other fans you may know! I know I speak for many when I say we comic fans are ready for these collections!
