Daytona Beach Shores eliminating disabled & elderly shared Beach Access at Tuscany

The Issue

After 20 years of service to seniors, veterans, families, and disabled residents, the City of Daytona Beach Shores is considering permanently closing a vital ADA beach access ramp — just to save a few bucks. This comes even though FEMA and Volusia County will cover most of the rebuild cost! The City Staff is recommending to shut it down and move it further from the only crosswalk!

Federal and state laws guarantee every American the right to SAFE public beach access as do City Ordinances.  Closing this ramp may violate ADA requirements, and deny thousands their legal right to enjoy our beaches. Moving it farther way, without an A1A crosswalk is not a solution.

Without this ramp, our elderly, disabled neighbors, and future generations will be locked out.

We, the undersigned, DEMAND that Daytona Beach Shores:
✅ Rebuild the ADA beach ramp immediately at Tuscany
✅ Protect the civil rights of ALL citizens
✅ Keep our beaches open, accessible, and welcoming to EVERYONE

We expect MORE from the SHORES!
Protect access. Protect community. Protect what's right.

✍️ Sign today — before the city votes to permanently shut the door on equal access.
