Demand Utah Dogs not be punished for protecting their own property

Recently, an 8 year old child jumped over their neighbor's fence (without permission) to retrieve a ball and claims to have been attacked by the neighbor's three pit bulls. Now, authorities are labeling the dogs dangerous and requiring the owners to muzzle the dogs outside and construct a kennel to keep the dogs in. ALL BECAUSE THIS CHILD TRESPASSED onto their property. To make matters worse, the mother of the child, Lindsay Long, is demanding the dogs receive FURTHER punishment for this. The dogs were defending their OWN property, her child was the one at fault, along with herself, for this incident occurring. We demand Davis County NOT punish these dogs as they were on their own property, protecting it from a TRESPASSER. These dogs, nor their owner, should NOT suffer because of the poor decision of an eight year old and lack of good parenting skills on the part of the child's mother.
