Odelia and Nerissa's bail hearing is next week, on January 17 & 18, 2023 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. I will be attending the hearing and will update you afterwards on what happens.
Since the Minister of Justice Bronwyn Eyre’s office is in Regina, we will also have a petition delivery and gathering there as well. If you are able, please attend the petition delivery and gathering outside the Saskatchewan Legislative Building on January 17th! Dan Godbersen will be on the ground in Regina representing the petition on my behalf. Dan says: “I am Indigenous and want to help, in any way possible, the Quewezance sisters in righting this terrible miscarriage of justice.” I’m grateful for Dan’s support!
When: Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 8:30AM - 10:30AM CST. Drop by whenever you can! Even just a few minutes goes a long way in showing Saskatchewan that the public is paying attention.
Where: Saskatchewan Legislative Building, 2405 Legislative Dr, Regina, SK S4S 0B3
We need to come together with a strong show of support for Odelia and Nerissa.
If you can’t attend please continue sharing this petition with your network and on social media using the hashtag #FreeTheSisters. The more we get the word out, the better!
In solidarity,
Nicole
About Me:
I am a social justice and indigenous rights advocate. I'm passionate about matters related to criminal law, wrongful conviction, miscarriages of justice and criminal justice reform. I spend much of my time and resources volunteering and advocating for the wrongfully convicted, even though it doesn't help me financially. Your support would allow me to remain involved in cases like this one, and put pressure on appropriate levels of government to take meaningful steps toward reconciliation!
