Hi everyone,

I’m writing to you from Yorkton, Saskatchewan where I attended the first day of Odelia and Nerissa’s bail hearings. 

There was tremendous support from family, friends and advocates who travelled across the country to be there.

As the hearing was getting started, Dan Godbersen, Executive Director of Michel Callihou Nation Society and supporter of Odelia and Nerissa, was in Regina to bring your signatures to the steps of the Saskatchewan legislature and the Ministry of Justice! Read more about it here.

There was also a heavy media presence in the courtroom today and combined with the support of over 59,000 petition signers, it’s undeniable how important it is to people across Canada that Saskatchewan free these wrongfully convicted sisters. 

Dan will be joining me in Yorkton tomorrow for the second day of the hearing and I’ll keep you posted on what happens.
