This is a petition for H.R. 1942 Safeguard American Food Export Act of 2015 to be placed back on the House floor for votes. It has been sitting in Both the subcommittee of Livestock and Agricultural culture and the Energy and Commerce subcommittee since 2015 with zero movement. This bill will accomplish - Put an end to exporting our horses to Canada and Mexico for slaughter for human consumption -Put an end to kill pens -It will end the abuse that these horses undergo from their journey auction to slaughterhouse.
