I am only one person and can only email the senator so many times before they will not listen to me any longer.
I ask each to submit just one email and /or phone call to:

That will be 30,000 emails and phone calls, they will have to listen to US then!
I haven't posted an update in a few days as I was upta camp hiking the woods that are out for bid to be CLEAR CUT. As I was hiking I stopped to pause several times to take in the tranquility of the woods and appreciate what will soon be gone forever if not stopped. The moss covered ground, the smell of the pine, the birds chirping and the Doe and their Yearlings I came upon. Its the kind of sites that really give you a true appreciation of the woods and the abundance of life they hold. From the chipmunks to the bears the woods are their home. According to the DNR I guess the animals will just have to move on in the name of profit.
The other reason for my hike was to see if it would be possible for the DNR to have the woods logged without a CLEAR CUT and the answer YES! Only a portion of the woods are dead pines and I am not convinced that it was all due to the spruce bud worm it looks like a lot of the dead pine growing back probably from the last cutting and have grown to close together and as nature thin them on its own. The hard woods look strong and healthy and most of the pines too. I would suggest the DNR cut out the stands of the dead and/or infected
pine and leave the rest of the woods to fill in and continue to grow. Its such a beautiful place its hard to describe without being there. I cannot wait for the fall colors which should be in full color in just a few weeks and don't want to and can't even imagine how anyone could turn such a beautiful scenic road and living forest into an dead hell of slashings and stumps.
