Currently in Wigan Borough we have 3 weekly black bin collections, as a Councillor in Hindley Green the biggest complaints I have is the excessive flies and no collections regarding the black bins. In the petition I am asking for a compromise from the months of June to January we have the black bin collected every fortnight. I think this is now a necessity due the flies during the hot weather and will ease the extra waist during the festive Christmas period. I also believe it will ease the increase in fly-tipping and people dumping waste in other peoples bins.
