Governor Ige and Lt. Governor Tsutsui have a decision to make and their choice will greatly affect the lives of those people coming here with their pets.

They can choose to re-appoint Chairperson Scott Enright to the Department of Agriculture and allow Dr. Raquel Wong to continue as the Director of the Animal Quarantine Station, OR they can appoint individuals who are qualified for the positions.

Neither Chairperson Enright nor Dr. Wong has the leadership and management abilities to ensure the safety and welfare of the domestic animals (family members) that are mandated to the AQS for the 120 day quarantine period.

The facility has been allowed to operate in a haphazard manner by poorly trained, ill-qualified staff in an environment more akin to a Nazi concentration camp. There are numerous reports of pets being hosed full-force in the face, caretakers kicking dogs, pets near death from heat stroke and other medical issue's, and no actions taken to correct any of these abusive and neglectful behaviors.

With thousands of signatures and horror stories, Chairperson Enright only states that his staff of professional caretakers acted within station protocol, while Dr. Wong states her staff care and take it personal. Supposedly two years ago a risk assessment was accomplished and now Chairperson Enright wants to use those recommendations to fix the AQS; he doesn't want a new inspection from an outside source because it will divulge what we all know, the facility is a death-camp.

Tell Governor Ige and Lt. Governor Tsutsui not to re-appoint Chairperson Enright and to immediately remove Dr. Raquel Wong.....before anymore pets of military, DOD and civilians moving to the great State of Hawaii end up neglected, abused, or dead from the inaction that is tantamount to criminal neglect.
